The Deutsches Rotes Kreuz in Hamburg-Harburg is a versatile welfare organization with over 60 facilities, including 17 day care centers, a hospice, the Harburg-Huus for homeless people, and several refugee shelters. Around 450 volunteers are active in areas such as disaster relief, childcare, assistance for the homeless, and integration projects.
