About this opportunity
Together with YFU organizations in our approximately 50 partner countries, our association is committed to intercultural education, education for democracy, and the assumption of social responsibility by offering young people the opportunity to experience another culture as a member of a host family or as an exchange student and to gain new perspectives. Each year, YFU sends up to 1,000 German students abroad and hosts around 500 young people from other countries in Germany.

We subtitle films from Arabic into German or vice versa in small groups consisting of German and Arabic native speakers. The films are then shown at various cultural institutions in exchange for a donation, so that everyone has the opportunity to participate in the cultural exchange. In the process, the co-subtitlers learn the language as well as get to know new people.
