Sorting food at the Berliner Tafel Youth After Work Shift
About this opportunity
Every day, tonnes of surplus food are thrown away and destroyed in Berlin. Fresh and edible food that could help many Berliners affected by poverty, if it were properly distributed. A task that Berliner Tafel e.V. has successfully taken on since 1993. Since then, the members and volunteers of the nonprofit organization collect donated food day after day and deliver it to social and charitable institutions throughout the entire city.
